Virtual Ubuntu on Windows !!!

Hi reader,

Here is a chance for you to work in Ubuntu without changing your Operating System!!!. Yes, you can have a virtual ubuntu box in your windows platform and you feel like working in Ubuntu though you are in windows...

Just follow the following steps to get it installed... have a great time... :)



Basic requirements*:

1. You should have a ISO file of Ubuntu (Any version). Click the link below to download it..

2. You should have a virtual box from Oracle or Sun Microsystems. Click the link below to download it..

http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.0.10/VirtualBox-4.0.10-72479-Win.exe


Installation(In Oracle)

Part I: Creating a Virtual Window..

1.Open the Oracle Virtual box and Click on NEW... then Select Operating system as LINUX and Version as UBUNTU..
And the Name can be anything..

2.Now the memory window pop ups.. allocate 512MB nd click on NEXT..

3. Now in Virtual Hard disk window.. select create new hard disk.. click NEXT

4. Now select Dynamically expanding storage and click NEXT..

5. Now allocate around 10GB of storage for Ubuntu files and click on NEXT..

6.Now click on FINISH...

PART II: Installing the OS using ISO file:

1. Double click on the created Icon in the Virtual box or Select and RUN..

2. Now click NEXT..

3. Now select the ISO file from system...

4. Now it asks for formattig the disk.. click OK.. (Here it formats only the storage area yiu have selected earlier that is around 10 GB)

5. Now custimize the settings that are required for you and Finally click On INSTALL...

6. Wait for some 15 minutes until it gets installed completely and U R DONE.. :)..:)...

*Need not be ISO only. You can use any bootable stuff...
